For the record

They will stir the pot

As often as not 

Playing to the worst 

Of human discourse 

By criminal means

Things are seldom as 

They seem

Phone tap and bribe 

To satisfy their tribe

On hate they thrive 

For circulation they strive 

Regardless of harm

And public alarm

Owned by a few

Who politicians woo

To get their support 

Their opinion they court

A cancerous disease 

Our politicians appease
