Buried in the mind’s
underground

Put away for ever
Never to be found
Mummy like wrapped
In sacred
bandage bound

Bound so tight
To breathe
would be a fight
Fleeting moments forgotten
Never to see the light

Entombed like the mummy’s
Body woven
For the afterlife
Leaving human sadness
and life’s endless strife

Memories unearthed
In the dreams of
restless sleep
Like Carter
Finding the child pharo buried
With precious artifacts
to keep
